{"id":5230,"date":"2012-09-12T16:48:26","date_gmt":"2012-09-12T21:48:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/?p=5230"},"modified":"2022-09-23T15:47:42","modified_gmt":"2022-09-23T19:47:42","slug":"italy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/travel\/italy\/","title":{"rendered":"Italy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">My wife and I just got back from spending 12 days touring Italy, and it was the trip of a lifetime! \u00a0We&#8217;ve been to various parts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/2009\/04\/12\/europe-2\/\">Europe<\/a> before, and went to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/2010\/10\/24\/greece-2\/\">Greece<\/a> on our honeymoon, so we weren&#8217;t sure if Italy would be all that different&#8230;.wrong! \u00a0What&#8217;s great about Italy is each area you visit is completely different from the next. \u00a0From canals to ancient ruins to cliffside towns to islands to vineyards; it&#8217;s all there. \u00a0I took a ton of photos (imagine that), and here are just a few of our favorites. Most come from my DSLR, though some are iPhone and some are point-and-shoot. \u00a0I think they all capture the beauty of Italy though. \u00a0Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We started our trip in Venice. \u00a0I wasn&#8217;t sure what to think since I&#8217;ve heard mixed reviews, but honestly this may have been my favorite part of the trip. \u00a0Maybe it was the experience of seeing this place first after getting off the plane or the magic this city has. \u00a0Either way, just amazing&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" tiny little town filled with canals and colorful buildings. \u00a0So cool!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" Florence we rented a car and drove to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sangimignano.com\/sghomei.htm\">San Gimignano<\/a>, a really cool medieval castle town on a hill in the middle of Tuscany.<\/p>\n<p href=\"http:\/\/www.positano.com\/\">Positano<\/a>. \u00a0Just gorgeous. \u00a0It reminded us a lot of Santorini, Greece, but still unique and very Italian.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Italy-291.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Luckily we had enough time built-in to our stay in Positano that we were able to make a day-trip to nearby <a href=\"http:\/\/www.capri.com\/\">Capri<\/a>, a beautiful island right off the coast with breathtaking views.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Italy-381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"962\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Looking down from Via Krupp, a windy little walkway that dumps you into the crystal clear water. \u00a0For some stupid reason we didn&#8217;t walk all the way down and jump in&#8230;next time :)<\/p>\n<p
