We weren\u2019t sure what to expect \u2013 of course we knew it was going to be beautiful, but we\u2019d both been to a few tropical places before and figured it\u2019d be similar.&#160; WRONG!&#160; Maui is easily the most incredible place ever.&#160; Don\u2019t get me wrong, I have a huge soft spot for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/2009\/04\/12\/europe-2\/\">Europe<\/a> (and especially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/2010\/10\/24\/greece-2\/\">Greece<\/a>!), but if you\u2019re looking for a beachy, tropical, relaxing destination\u2026Hawaii is it.&#160; Here are a few of my favorites!<\/p>\n<p>Of course no Hawaii trip is complete without a gorgeous sunset\u2026<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/AVP_1656-Edit1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 15px 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"AVP_1656-Edit\" border=\"0\" alt=\"AVP_1656-Edit\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/AVP_1656-Edit_thumb1.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"596\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We stayed in a condo in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wailea-Makena,_Hawaii\">Wailea<\/a>, and down the road a few miles is the beautiful <a href=\"http:\/\/gohawaii.about.com\/od\/mauiphotos\/ig\/Makena-Coast-of-Maui-Photos\/\">Makena<\/a>.&#160; Yes, the water really is this blue!<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/AVP_1909-Edit.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; Out of nowhere this guy appeared and was just floating around, soaking up the sun, and grabbing a few breaths of air every now and then.&#160; So cool!<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/P5100078.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; The top of this volcano has insane views and is higher than the group of clouds that form below it, so you truly feel like you\u2019re on top of the world.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaronvargaphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/AVP_1806-Edit.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none;
