I’ve been excited for Missy and Dave’s wedding for months and I can’t believe the day finally came! I think I might have been more excited about their wedding than they were :) The day started like most others in Pittsburgh in the spring – with pouring rain of course, but magically it stopped and cleared up just minutes before the ceremony. Missy and Dave were married in the gorgeous Heinz Chapel and partied it up at their reception at the PPG Aquarium. My second shooter Chris Fellers and I had a blast!
It was so hard for me to pick my favorites…these two are apparently VERY photogenic! Here are a bunch of my favorites from their Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium wedding!!
Missy and the girls got ready at Sunnyledge Boutique Hotel & Tea Room in Shadyside. I adore the next photo on the left…there’s just something magical about it.

We headed to the Penn Station rotunda for bridal party portraits, which is awesome since I’ve been looking for an excuse to shoot there for awhile now.
So a little backstory on this photo – the girls were having a hard time interpreting what I wanted them to do for the pose. Which hand on which hip? Put my weight on which leg? Wait, how do you want me to hold the bouquet? The flower girl just stepped forward and busted out the pose perfectly! “Like this guys…” Nailed it!

The PPG Aquarium was such a cool venue for a reception. Just look at those fun details!
The cake topper was actually the same topper that Missy’s grandmother had at her wedding. So cool! What a great way to tie in the family.

I absolutely love love LOOOVE this one! We snuck away and got a quick shot of them in front of a beautiful fish tank. I think this sums up their reception perfectly :)
